Overview
Join our dynamic retail team as an Assistant Store Manager, where your leadership and organizational skills will drive store success and elevate customer experiences. As a key team member, you will support store management in executing sales strategies, supervising staff, and maintaining a vibrant, customer-focused environment. Your proactive approach and passion for retail will help foster a motivated team and a thriving store atmosphere. This job will be based at a store of Gas Station near Woodtsock, Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, ensuring efficiency and excellent customer service.
- Lead, motivate, and supervise sales associates to achieve sales goals and deliver outstanding service.
- Manage inventory purchasing, merchandising displays, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maximize sales potential.
- Handle cash register operations including cashiering, cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) system management, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy.
- Support recruiting efforts by participating in interviewing, onboarding new staff, and providing ongoing training & development.
- Implement marketing initiatives and promotional activities to attract customers and increase store visibility.
- Ensure compliance with company policies on payroll, budgeting, health & safety standards, and administrative procedures.
Experience
- Proven supervisory or team management experience within retail sales or related environments.
- Strong knowledge of retail operations including merchandising, pricing, POS systems, and cash handling procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate effectively and handle customer inquiries with professionalism.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases.
- Demonstrated skills in recruiting, training & development, time management, and organizational planning.
- Experience with budgeting, bookkeeping, marketing strategies, and administrative tasks is preferred.
- Prior supervising experience in retail management or sales management roles will be highly advantageous.

Pay: $19.00-$21.50 per hour
