Job Summary
We are a fast-food restaurant located on Nanaimo, Vancouver Island. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Team Member to join our dynamic kitchen staff. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, contributing to meal preparation and maintaining food safety standards. Duties

- Assist in meal preparation by following recipes and portioning ingredients accurately.
- Ensure all food handling and preparation meets established food safety standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.
- Support cooks and kitchen staff in daily operations, including cooking, plating, and serving dishes.
- Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of low stock levels.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to food service and kitchen operations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours.





Qualifications

- We are looking for a permanent, long-term team member. for part-time positions, we will only consider candidates who are commited to staying with us for at least 1 year.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Show up to all scheduled shifts and arrive 10 minutes early
- Able to keep up in a fast-paced environment
- Able to work well with others
- Must give at least 2 weeks notice for any planned time off

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
