Position Overview:
Centre 507 is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced internal candidate to take on the role of Day-Time Team Lead. This role is central to ensuring the smooth operation of our day time drop-in services, providing leadership to staff and volunteers, and fostering a safe, welcoming environment for participants. Working 12-hour shifts following a 2-3-2 schedule working approximately 15 shifts a month including 2 weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and support staff and volunteers during assigned shifts
- Provide crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and engage with clients using trauma-informed approaches
- Ensure a respectful, inclusive, and participant-centric environment
- Monitor health and safety, respond to emergencies, and uphold Centre policies
- Coordinate distribution of meals, hygiene products, and other resources
- Maintain accurate records, shift reports, and facilitate communication between teams
- Support implementation of overnight programs and activities
- Act as a liaison with community partners during the shift

Qualifications:





- Post-secondary degree or diploma in social services or a related field
- Robust understanding of homelessness, poverty, mental health, and addiction issues
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in crisis intervention and de-escalation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic documentation
- Flexibility in work hours and ability to remain alert during 12-hour shifts
- First Aid/CPR, Naloxone, and ASIST training are considered assets
- Bilingualism and a valid Class G driver’s license are assets

Working Conditions:

- High physical activity, including lifting up to 50 lbs and using stairs
- Involvement in tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and occasional snow removal
- Collaboration across programs and participation in team morale-building
