CERTIFIED DENTAL ASSISTANT

We value compassion, collaboration, and clinical excellence, and we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) to join our growing team and help deliver an outstanding patient experience.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Certified Dental Assistant will play an essential role in supporting the clinical team by providing chairside assistance, maintaining a safe and efficient clinical environment, and ensuring patients receive exceptional care throughout their visit. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, compassionate, and thrives in a fast-paced practice.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Clinical Support

- Prepare treatment rooms before and after patient appointments.
- Provide chairside assistance during restorative, preventive, cosmetic, and surgical dental procedures.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain dental instruments, materials, and equipment.
- Take digital radiographs in accordance with provincial guidelines.
- Take digital impressions, intraoral photographs, and other diagnostic records as required.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and provide post-operative instructions.
- Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after treatment.

Sterilization and Infection Control.





- Sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection prevention and control protocols.
- Maintain operatories, sterilization area, and clinical equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering clinical supplies.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on dental equipment and report any concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

- Current Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) registration in British Columbia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy clinical environment.
- Professional, positive, and patient-centered attitude.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and high ethical standards.

Preferred

- Minimum one year of clinical dental assisting experience, new graduates are welcome to apply
- Experience with ClearDent or other dental practice management software is an asset.
- Experience with digital radiography, intraoral scanners, and digital impressions.
- Experience assisting with restorative, endodontic, oral surgery, implants, or orthodontic procedures is considered an asset.
