We are hiring professional and reliable Event Security Guards to join our team for events at a major arena. Security guards will help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for guests, event staff, performers, clients, and venue personnel.

This is a casual/on-call position with flexible scheduling. Successful candidates should be comfortable working in busy, high-energy environments, including concerts, sporting events, festivals, live shows, and other large-scale events.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Monitor assigned areas throughout the arena and surrounding event spaces
- Control access to entrances, exits, restricted areas, backstage areas, and staff-only zones
- Check tickets, event credentials, identification, passes, and authorized access when required
- Assist with guest screening and entry procedures
- Monitor crowd activity and help maintain safe and orderly movement throughout the venue
- Conduct regular patrols to identify safety hazards, suspicious activity, unauthorized access, or security concerns
- Assist guests by providing directions and general event information while maintaining a professional and welcoming presence
- Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, evacuations, or other emergency situations
- Communicate and coordinate with supervisors, event organizers, arena staff, emergency services, and other security personnel
- Assist with loss prevention and help prevent theft, vandalism, property damage, or prohibited activity
- Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs,



and daily activity reports
- Follow all company policies, arena procedures, emergency plans, and applicable security regulations
- Maintain a professional appearance and wear the required security uniform at all times

Qualifications and Requirements

- Valid BC Security Worker Licence is required
- Previous experience in event security, arena security, crowd management, access control, or customer service is an asset
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills
- Ability to remain alert, calm, professional, and approachable in busy environments
- Ability to manage large crowds and respond appropriately to challenging situations
- Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a large security team
- Versatile availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and late-night shifts
- Reliable transportation is an asset
- OFA/First Aid certification is an asset
