Event Host / Hostess (Speed Dating & Singles Events)

Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and personable Event Host / Hostess to oversee and facilitate speed dating and singles events. This role involves creating a welcoming atmosphere, engaging with guests, and ensuring the smooth flow of events. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of hospitality, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. Prior experience in marketing, guest services, or hospitality is a plus, as is familiarity with upselling and negotiation techniques. This position offers an exciting opportunity to connect people and create memorable experiences in a lively social setting.

Responsibilities

- Welcome guests upon arrival, ensuring they feel comfortable and engaged from the start
- Facilitate event activities, including introductions, timing, and transitions between sessions
- Provide exceptional guest services by addressing questions and resolving any issues promptly
- Promote additional offerings or upgrades through upselling strategies while maintaining a friendly demeanor
- Manage event logistics, including scheduling, organization of tables, and adherence to timeframes
- Maintain a professional and energetic presence throughout the event to foster a fun and inviting atmosphere




- Collaborate with team members to ensure the event runs smoothly and efficiently
- Gather feedback from guests to improve future events and enhance customer satisfaction

Requirements

- Proven experience in guest services, hospitality, or related fields such as restaurant or hotel experience preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage diverse groups of people effectively
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for managing event flow and guest interactions
- Ability to negotiate politely and upsell services or products when appropriate
- Exceptional time management skills to keep events on schedule
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly, approachable demeanor
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in event hosting or similar roles is advantageous but not required; training will be provided as needed
