Qualicare Homecare is looking for compassionate, caring, and reliable individuals to join our family as Personal Support Workers/Caregivers. As a Personal Support worker, you will not only be looking after the clients, you will be a part of an amazing team, that promotes a culture of recognition, appreciation, respect, leadership, learning, and ongoing support.

Job Summary
We are looking for a Part-time casual hours PSW for the following intersection: Bovaird Dr East and Torbram. The Personal Support Worker/Caregiver is a member of the home care team who works under the supervision of the Care Coordinator and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the client’s needs.





Responsibilities

- AM and PM care
- Meal Preparation
- Light Housekeeping
- Accompany clients on outings
- Shopping and errands
- Medication Reminders
- Ambulation and transporting of clients
- Provide companionship to clients
- Light Housekeeping
- Ability to follow a care plan
- Documentation/Charting

Qualifications

- Personal Support Worker Certificate or equivalent (eg. foreign-trained nurse, nursing student after one year of completing the school).
- Current CPR/First Aid training
- Speaking Polish, or Russian ( preferable)
- Current Police Record Check or Vulnerable Sector Screen or be willing to obtain one.
- Negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
- Access to the internet/mobile phone.
- Great support and teamwork
- Dementia/Alzheimer's experience
