Position Summary:
We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Store Associate to join our team in Medicine Hat. The ideal candidate is passionate about animals and customer service. Experience working with pets is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service and pet care advice
- Assist with dog washes and maintain cleanliness of wash stations
- Perform general store cleaning and upkeep
- Support with inventory setup, restocking, and merchandising
- Operate the cash register and handle transactions
- Help maintain adoption rooms and ensure pets are well-cared for
- Follow company policies and health & safety procedures
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a pet care or retail environment is an asset
- Comfortable working with dogs, cats, and other small animals
- Strong work ethic, reliability,
and a positive attitude
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Willingness to learn and contribute to a team environment
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
