Job Description

Bannister Cadillac Kelowna, a division of the Bannister Automotive Group, is hiring a full-time, permanent Automotive Service Technician to join our service team in Kelowna, BC.

This is a technical, diagnostic, and repair-focused role in a busy dealership service department, supported by manufacturer training, modern diagnostic equipment, and an experienced shop team.

Duties (NOC 72410)

- Review work orders and discuss work with the supervisor
- Inspect and test mechanical units, automotive systems, and components to locate faults and malfunctions
- Inspect the motor in operation and road test motor vehicles
- Diagnose faults and malfunctions, and confirm findings with the supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace the unit
- Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components
- Test and adjust repaired systems to the manufacturer's specifications




- Perform scheduled maintenance service
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed

What we’re looking for

- Education: Trades certificate or diploma in automotive service technology. Red Seal endorsement an asset.
- Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of automotive service experience
- Valid Class 5 BC driver’s licence with a clean driving abstract
- Confident with shop and diagnostic equipment, scan tools, electronic work orders, and dealership management systems
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to doing the job right the first time
