North York Development company is currently seeking a dynamic, skilled Bookkeper / Junior Accountant with 2 of more years of experience, experience in Construction/Real Estate is a plus.

Job Description:

- Review of journal entries for all activity and transactions of Credit Cards to ensure in accordance with accounting policies and internal control requirements
- Assist with the preparation of financial and operational information along with analysis and commentary to support decisions for senior management
- Review monthly reports, variance analysis, year-end files, financial statements and budgets to ensure accuracy and completion in accordance with established timelines
- Review financial reports for accuracy and completeness in accordance with policies and timelines
- Monitoring of intercompany balances and working with head office teams to resolve any issues




- Assist with ensuring that key controls over financial reporting are operating effectively for areas of responsibility
- Monitor all accounts payable and ensure timely pay off of these, while keeping record of all transactions
- Take the lead on Real Estate related financial reports, such as property tax.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical, organizational and administrative skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to produce high quality reports
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and to interact at all organizational levels
- Solid time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at one time.

Pay: $20,800.00-$22,880.00 per year
