Gibson's Pharmacy is an independent pharmacy which has been serving the Hamilton area for 90 years. We are looking to hire a Pharmacy Assistant or Technician on a full time or part-time basis.
The primary responsibility of the Pharmacy Assistant/Technician is to assist in the preparation, dispensing and sale of prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines/devices.
We offer a competitive compensation package based on performance and experience. Wage is $18-35 per hour depending on experience and college certification. In addition, we offer bonus as well as staff discount.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide assistance to Pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions.
- Technical aspects of job include data entry into pharmacy software, preparation, labeling and packaging of prescriptions.
- Assist in maintenance of pharmacy inventory levels under guidance of Pharmacist.
- Other duties include scanning and other tasks as assigned for smooth operation of the dispensary and front shop.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong communications skills.
- General computer skills.
- Relevant pharmacy experience is preferred.
