- - - Event Support – Q̓ʷalayu House 5th Birthday Celebration

Qwalayu House is a home where families from the north Island and surrounding Islands can stay while their children receive health care in the region, and where pregnant individuals from remote communities can stay close to the hospital as their due date approaches. Qwalayu House is celebrating its 5th birthday and we are looking for volunteers to support this fun event!

Role Details:

Volunteers will support the event with set up and take down, attendee registration, parking support, and outdoor games. Volunteers should be comfortable being outdoors for an extended period of time,



walking, and lifting. We are looking for individuals who are outgoing, personable, and comfortable interacting with guests.

Location: 565 2 Ave, Campbell River

Date: Monday, August 24, 2026

Time: There are two shifts available:

- 10 am – 1 pm: this shift will focus on event set up.
- 2 pm – 6 pm: this shift will involve supporting with attendee registration, parking support, may assist with lawn games, and event takedown.
