Description:
As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice, policies, and procedures. You will play a key role in providing protected, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program. Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Completion of a Perioperative Nursing Educational Program required. Must possess strong assessment skills. Excellent communication and documentation skills required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two years current operating room experience, preferably in a rural hospital and endoscopy experience is preferred. IV initiation and IV medication administration preferred.
