Daly Concrete Coring Ltd is seeking a part-time Drilling Assistant to support our concrete coring and scanning technicians on commercial construction sites throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the construction industry and develop skills in concrete coring, drilling, and non-destructive testing (NDT). There is potential for long-term growth within the company for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

- Assist the drilling/NDT technician on commercial construction job sites
- Load, unload, and secure drilling equipment and materials
- Maintain drilling equipment and support tools
- Follow all company and Ministry safety regulations
- Assist with handling concrete cores, drills, tools, and equipment
- Work safely on ladders and at heights when required
- Complete daily reports accurately and legibly when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Adapt to changing schedules and shift requirements

Physical Requirements

- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
- Comfortable performing physical labour
- Ability to work on ladders and complete Working at Heights tasks

Schedule





- Part time position
- Day and night shifts required
- Monday–Friday with occasional weekend work
- Hours may vary week to week depending on job schedules

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid G Class Driver’s License with clean abstract and personal auto insurance
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Record Name Check
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Basic computer skills are considered an asset

Preferred (not required):

- Construction experience
- WHMIS certification
- Fall Protection / Working at Heights training
- Knowledge of OHSA safety practices
