Big Hearts Home Healthcare is looking for Licensed Practical Nurses to start work immediately. We service seniors, injured workers, accident victims, discharged patients and others.

Under the direction of the Operations Director, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct care to clients to fulfil the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social needs of clients and in accordance with our policies, procedures and work routines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plan and manage resident care according to their needs
- Obtain patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
- Provide routine care for patients
- Observe patients’ health
- Review medical charts.
- Administer medications.
- Assist with patient comfort.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Ability to read and write English fluently
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Licensed Practical Nurse degree and active license
- 1-2 years experience in a hospital, clinic or facility
- Knowledge of infection control practices and occupational hazards
- Regular lifting and moving clients, equipment and supplies
- Recent and clear Criminal Record Check
- Organizational skills and ability to complete assignments in a timely manner
