Job Title: Warehouse Reach Truck and Order Picker Operator

Job Description

This role involves operating reach trucks and order pickers in a busy plumbing distribution facility, ensuring accurate picking, packing, shipping, and receiving activities while adhering to all safety standards and performing occasional physical warehouse work.

Responsibilities

- Operate reach trucks and order pickers safely and efficiently in a busy plumbing distribution warehouse.
- Use RF scanners to accurately pick, pack, load, ship, and receive products according to daily work orders.
- Perform general production and material handling tasks as needed to support warehouse operations.
- Handle shipping and receiving duties, including loading and unloading, sorting, and staging materials.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in order picking and packing to meet customer and operational requirements.
- Follow all safety standards and procedures, including proper use of harnesses and other required safety equipment.
- Lift and move products weighing 50+ pounds as part of daily warehouse activities.
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns promptly to ensure continued safe operation of material handling equipment.

Essential Skills

- Minimum 2+ years of material handling equipment experience operating reach trucks and order pickers.
- Minimum 2+ years of warehouse forklift experience.
- Proficiency using RF scanners for picking, shipping, receiving, and inventory-related tasks.
- Demonstrated experience in general production, picking, packing, shipping, and receiving within a warehouse setting.
- Strong awareness of safety procedures and willingness to follow all safety standards, including use of harnesses.
- Ability to work effectively on afternoon/second shift and maintain productivity throughout the shift.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling orders and inventory.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- Forklift certification for Reach Truck and Order Picker is preferred.
- Experience working in a busy distribution or logistics environment.
- Comfort operating various types of material handling equipment, including reach forklifts and order pickers.
- Ability to work both on equipment and perform physical warehouse tasks as required.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a warehouse team and communicate clearly with coworkers.

Work Environment

This position is based in a busy plumbing distribution warehouse operating on an afternoon/second shift schedule from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, with two unpaid 30-minute breaks. Team members primarily work on material handling equipment such as reach trucks, order pickers, and reach forklifts, while also performing physical tasks that involve lifting 50+ pounds. The environment emphasizes strict adherence to safety standards, including the use of harnesses and other protective equipment. The facility offers an on-site gym for employee use, and employees accrue vacation over time. Work is performed indoors in a fast-paced, production-oriented setting, with appropriate warehouse attire required to ensure safety and comfort.

The pay range for this position is $22.47 - $22.47/hr.
