Position Summary
Under the supervision of HR Business Partner, you will develop and maintain workforce capabilities within the plant while designing and delivering onboarding and development programs. You will support supervisors and team leaders in their roles, identify talent and succession opportunities on the floor, and contribute to recruitment activities.
Responsibilities
You contribute to achieving the company’s objectives through the following actions:
Culture, values and engagement
- Integrate company values, inclusion and respect principles into all training programs
- Promote a safe, inclusive and engaging work workplace
Health, safety and compliance
- Deliver health, safety and food safety training
- Track mandatory training completion using systems (e.g. SuccessFactors)
- Identify and escalate issues to HR partners
- Act as a health and safety leader in the workplace
Recruitment, onboarding and retention
- Support recruitment and candidate evaluation
- Design and deliver onboarding programs
- Follow up on integration and probation milestones
- Contribute to employee retention through development initiatives
Talent development and succession
- Identify development opportunities within teams
- Support succession planning and talent pipeline development
- Help build and strengthen internal capabilities
Learning and development
- Identify training needs and design development programs
- Train operator trainers, team leaders and employees
- Administer training systems and tools (POKA, SuccessFactors)
- Ensure training governance and compliance
- Deliver training content (e.g. AMS PRO2)
Operational support and performance
- Track workforce movement and update flexibility matrices
- Support managers in employee development and performance tracking
- Report behavioural issues impacting operations
Communication and change management
- Communicate training and onboarding information clearly
- Support change management initiatives through coaching
- Adapt training programs to organizational changes
Audit and compliance
- Support audits by ensuring training records are accurate and compliant
- Maintain documentation ready for review and inspections
Requirements
We are looking for someone who can:
- Hold a degree in Human Resources, Training, Management or a related field
- Have experience in training, workforce development or manufacturing environments
- Demonstrate strong leadership and influence skills
- Communicate effectively and deliver training with a pedagogical approach
- Analyze needs and propose appropriate solutions
- Work independently while collaborating with multiple teams
- Show rigor, organization and creativity
- Be proficient with systems and tools (SuccessFactors, POKA, Microsoft Office)
Salary:
Salary: Starting at $65 000 per year.
Salary will be determined based on your experience, skills, training, and organizational needs.
