We are seeking a motivated and dedicated 310S or 3rd-year apprentice to join our automotive repair team. This role offers an exciting prospect to develop your skills in vehicle maintenance, mechanical repairs, and troubleshooting under the guidance of experienced technicians. You will be actively involved in diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and supporting the overall maintenance of a wide range of vehicles. We have been in this location for over 20 years.
Responsibilities
- Assist in diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues using schematics and technical manuals
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations, seasonal tire change overs, installation of new and customer supplied tires.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual labor safely during repairs and parts installation
- Read and interpret schematics, repair manuals, and technical diagrams for accurate repairs (we use mitchel pro demand)
- Support the assembly and disassembly of vehicle parts with precision and attention to detail
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace
Experience
- Mechanical knowledge gained through formal training or practical work experience
- Have tools required to complete shop task. (specialty tools will be supplied)
- Experience working with automotive repair or maintenance tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Have a valid drivers license, hold a 310S license or working towards a 310S qualfication
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism
- Mechanic experience at any level will be considered an asset for this role
We are a 3 bay shop that specializes in alignments, high level diagnostics, and air conditioning. We are a Monday to Friday shop and are not flat rate.
Pay: $17.60-$30.00 per hour
