Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team and ensure that our facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a hygienic environment for both employees and visitors. This position requires attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain various areas of the facility, including offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, watering, and vacuuming.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies and equipment are used safely and stored properly.
- Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Report any repairs or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as needed.
- Ensure waste bins have been set out for pick up.
- Monitor compactor and arrange pick up when needed.
- Follow established safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills





- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to clean thoroughly and efficiently.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, including proper usage and safety measures.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing time effectively.
- Good communication skills to interact with team members and report issues clearly.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
- Having Government Security Clearance would be an asset.

Hours

- 6:30am to 2:30pm
