South East Mechanical continues to grow and expand our mechanical service division. We are seeking an experienced Refrigeration Technician (Journeyman) to support our service and installation team across commercial and industrial projects.

Position Overview

The Refrigeration Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and servicing refrigeration and HVAC systems across a variety of commercial and industrial environments.

This position is ideal for a journeyman who is technically strong, dependable, and takes ownership of their work, while working both independently and alongside field teams.

Key Responsibilities Technical & Field Work

- Install, service, and repair commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems
- Diagnose system issues and perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs
- Perform start-ups, commissioning, and system testing
- Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and equipment manuals
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately and efficiently

Service & Coordination

- Work closely with Project Managers, office staff, and field teams
- Communicate findings, required repairs, and recommendations clearly
- Coordinate with other trades to ensure efficient workflow on site
- Maintain robust client relationships through professional service

Safety, Quality & Accountability





- Follow and enforce company safety policies and site requirements
- Ensure all work meets applicable codes, standards, and manufacturer specifications
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites and service vehicles
- Track tools, materials, and equipment usage

What We’re Looking For

- Journeyman Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Mechanic Certification (Red Seal preferred)
- Experience in commercial and/or industrial refrigeration systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable using mobile apps, email, and digital reporting tools
- Valid driver’s license
