The Organization:
Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) is the national skilled association of Canada’s 478,000 nurses. We represent all categories of regulated nurses, including retired nurses and nursing students, across all 13 provinces and territories and in all practice settings. Our mission is to advance the nursing profession, promote equitable access to healthcare, and enhance health outcomes for Canadians. CNA leadership is critical to government relations and engagement with federal, provincial and territorial policymakers, stakeholders, and departments.
CNA is committed to being the voice that pushes and advances nursing practice forward in Canada — by representing nursing and advocating for nurses, while becoming a more diverse, equitable and inclusive organization. To actualize this commitment, we will be working to systemically and operationally implement equitable and inclusive values, structures, and policies through our five strategic priorities.
