At NEXT Compression Corp, we're powering the future with industry-leading natural gas compression, refrigeration, and power generation solutions. We're looking for a motivated Apprentice Millwright to join our growing team, where you'll gain hands-on experience, develop valuable trade skills, and work alongside experienced professionals in a fast-paced, innovative manufacturing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with precision tools to ensure components are installed and set up to meet specific manufacturers’ standards.
- Install, manipulate, and fabricate piping and tubing systems to specifications.
- Install, adjust, repair, and replace machine parts as required.
- Install mechanical components, and fabricate piping systems, supports, and brackets.
- Inspection, disassembly, reassembly, installation, adjustment, and maintenance of mechanical equipment on site.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues to identify problems and resolve them.
- Working knowledge and use of a micrometer, calipers, dial indicators, and other tools necessary to measure and set required tolerances.
- Read and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and operation & maintenance manuals.
- Read prints and P&IDs; to interpret the work to be completed, the required equipment, and required tools to perform assigned work and sign off on required documents.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Registered apprentice
- Experience with rigging, overhead cranes, or other industrial and mechanical knowledge is an asset.
- Strong diagnostic skills with an ability to understand and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical drawings/schematics.
