Role Summary

We're looking for an Emergency Response Technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in helping people during some of the most difficult moments they'll experience.

When homes or businesses are damaged by water, fire, storms, or other emergencies, you'll be among the first people on site to stabilize the property, prevent further damage, and begin the restoration process. You'll work alongside experienced Project Managers using established processes, not managing projects yourself, while building valuable restoration skills and industry certifications.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving problems, and making a meaningful difference every day.

What you can expect

- Steady, year-round work
- A supportive, family-run team with experienced Project Managers
- Paid industry training and certification opportunities
- A variety of work, no two days are the same
- Opportunities to build a long-term career in restoration

What you'll be responsible for

- Responding quickly to emergency property losses involving water, fire, mold, storms, and other damage
- Stabilizing affected properties to prevent further damage and prepare them for restoration
- Operating drying equipment, extraction equipment, demolition tools, and other restoration equipment safely and effectively
- Completing assigned restoration work according to company procedures and industry standards
- Maintaining accurate job documentation and completing required paperwork
- Communicating progress, concerns, and site conditions with Project Managers and team members
- Maintaining clean, organized, and secure job sites
- Following health and safety requirements and company procedures at all times
- Assisting with demolition, debris removal, cleaning, and restoration activities as required
- Participating in the on-call rotation for after-hours emergency response

What success looks like in your first 90 days

First 2 weeks

- Learn our restoration processes, safety procedures, documentation requirements, and equipment
- Become familiar with emergency response workflows and job site expectations

By 30 days

- Confidently assist with emergency response jobs while following company standards
- Demonstrate professionalism when interacting with customers and teammates

By 60–90 days

- Independently complete assigned restoration tasks with minimal supervision
- Produce accurate documentation, maintain organized job sites, and contribute to efficient project delivery
- Continue progressing toward additional restoration certifications and technical skills

What you bring

- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Ability to remain calm and organized in changing environments
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow technical directions and established procedures

Nice to have

- Previous restoration, construction, or emergency response experience
- IICRC certifications
- Working at Heights certification
- Standard or Emergency First Aid

Requirements for the role

- Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs
- Valid Ontario Class G driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
- Ability to operate company vehicles
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
- Willingness to complete a criminal background check

Benefits

- Health care and dental benefits
- RRSP matching
- Profit sharing
- Paid training and certification renewals
