Kootenay Landscape is an established professional landscape & tree maintenance industry leader located in Cranbrook, BC servicing the East Kootenay Region of BC. Kootenay Landscape continues to grow and is expanding due to our focus on employee and customer satisfaction.

We are looking for a full time year round ISA Certified Arborist, with at least 3 year’s experience climbing trees with rope and harness and carrying out pruning and removals to ANSI A300 & Z133 work and safety standards. ISA Certification is preferred but will consider others with similar training and experience.

Applicant will have experience operating bucket truck and good understanding and secure use of chippers.

Must have a current BC drivers licence, clean abstract and air brake endorsement or able to obtain the endorsement within the first few months.

Applicant will be very confident pruning younger ornamental trees as well as pruning and removals of larger broad leaf and evergreens.

Strong tree identification skills and a thorough understanding of tree growth, disease and PHC techniques.




Experienced selecting and planting trees to ANSI A300 standards.

Experience in safe use of chainsaws, hand pruning tools, wood chippers, and stump grinders.
A confident communicator, able to talk with customers and a team player with the ability and drive to learn new skills.

Additional experience running skid steers, loaders and dump trucks would be an asset.
