Job Duties:

· Operate heavy equipment including excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, ADT rock trucks, and compactors.

· Perform excavation, grading, and material movement according to project specifications.

· Read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and grading layouts.

· Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance.

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

· Collaborate with site supervisors, pipe layers, and laborers to optimize project efficiency.

· Identify and report mechanical or operational issues.

· Adhere to environmental guidelines and proper material disposal methods.

· Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

· Minimum 3-4 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment.

· Strong understanding of site grading, excavation, and trenching.

· Experience with GPS machine control systems preferred.

· Ability to work in various weather conditions and terrain.

· Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

· Strong communication and teamwork skills.

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Education Requirements:





· High School Diploma or equivalent.

· Completion of a one- to two-year apprenticeship program or some high school, college or industry courses in heavy equipment operating combined with on-the-job training are required.

Work Environment:

· Outdoor construction sites across various sites across British Columbia, in particular the Lower Mainland and Sea to Sky Corridor.

· Exposure to varying weather conditions and terrain.

· Safety-oriented environment with mandatory PPE and adherence to company safety policies.

This is a full-time, permanent position, requiring 40 hours/week - Monday - Friday with overtime pay as per BC Employment Standards. Language of work is English.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
