Position Summary
The Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing Concrete BC’s digital communications, developing branded materials and visual assets, and supporting the planning and execution of the Association’s annual convention and other events. Working closely with the Manager of Membership Services, Executive Director, committees, members, sponsors, and external vendors, the position delivers professional and consistent communications that advance Concrete BC’s advocacy, promotion, education, and member-engagement objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement approved social media strategies by creating, editing and publishing content that align with Concrete BC’s objectives in advocacy, promotion, training, and member engagement.
- Plan and manage a content calendar for Concrete BC’s social channels and e-newsletter, highlighting industry news, events, training opportunities, advocacy work, and member stories.
- Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics (reach, engagement, click-throughs, registrations) and use insights to refine campaigns and content.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director, Manager of Membership Services and Chairs (e.g., Education & Training, Safety, Sustainability, Workforce Development etc.) to support priority initiatives and events.
- Ensure all communications reflect Concrete BC’s brand, values, and commitment to safety, sustainability, and professionalism in the Ready Mixed concrete industry.
- Design and produce Concrete BC’s monthly newsletter in consultation with the Executive Director.
- Monitor, moderate, and respond to comments and messages in a timely, professional, and inclusive manner, representing Concrete BC as the voice of the Ready Mixed concrete industry in BC.
- Assist in managing and planning Concrete BC’s annual convention in partnership with the Manager of Membership services. Including:
Graphic Design and Branded Materials
- Design and produce on-brand digital graphics for Concrete BC’s social media, e-newsletter, website, webinars, growth zone and digital campaigns.
- Create and maintain templates for Concrete BC-branded documents, including event programs, nomination forms, fact sheets, training materials, sponsorship packages, annual reports, AGM, and member bulletins.
- Liaise with external vendors (e.g. printers, photographers, videographers, creative partners) to ensure high-quality production of Concrete BC materials when needed.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, digital media, public relations, event management, or a related discipline is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience in social media management, graphic design, marketing communications, and event planning, preferably within an association, B2B, construction, or related industry is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing social media strategies, creating engaging multi-platform content, and analyzing performance using social media management and analytics.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), Canva, Microsoft Office, website content management systems (e.g., WordPress), email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp), and CRM or association management software such as GrowthZone or similar.
- Experience assisting in coordinating conferences, conventions, trade shows, or corporate events,
is an asset.
- Experience working with associations, member-based organizations, or the construction or concrete industry is considered an asset.
- Ability to travel occasionally throughout British Columbia and work eveningsor weekends as required to support events, committee meetings.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent written, verbal, editing, and proofreading skills, with the ability to translate technical or policy-related information into clear, engaging communications for diverse audiences.
- Strong visual design skills, including branding, typography, layout, and storytelling across digital and print platforms.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing positively as part of a collaborative team.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry event materials weighing up to 50 lbs. (23 kg) and work evenings or weekends as required.

Other:
· Full time, Permanent
· Location: Vancouver, British Columbia. This position follows a hybrid work arrangement, with regular attendance at Concrete BC’s office and in-person attendance at meetings, events, and member activities as required.
· Reports to: Manager Membership Services.
· Occasional overnight travel within British Columbia may be required to support association events and member engagement.
· Works closely with: Executive Director, committee chairs, Association members, sponsors, speakers, vendors, and external service providers.
