Responsibilities

- Use approved chemicals to consistently disinfect various surfaces to ensure proper sanitization methods occur.
- Disassemble, sanitize, and reassemble food processing equipment during downtime.
- Properly dispose of waste.




- Report any food contamination issues to Maintenance and Sanitation Manager.
- Sweep, mop, clear garbage and participate in all facility cleanliness needs
- Lead the prevention of cross contamination of products and communicate issues with Quality Assurance team when required
- Maintain all sanitation tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow all SDS sheets, WHMIS, GMP, HACCP and Secure Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Fill in daily cleaning and sanitation logs
- Restock and maintain inventory of sanitation equipment and cleaning agents
- Ensure food safety remains high priority and is an ambassador for a food-safe culture
- Other duties as required

Qualifications

- Mechanical aptitude on wide variety of equipment
- Must be able to bend, twist, push and pull consistently.
- Must be able to lift minimum 20 lbs consistently
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Positive attitude and adaptability to change
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to carry out tasks on a timely basis
- Must meet legal working age requirements (ILO standards)
- Shift work required
