The Supervisor of Accommodation Services is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing home and community-based support services. The successful candidate will provide guidance and support to staff while ensuring services are responsive, person-directed, and aligned with the Agency's vision, mission, and values.

This role requires a collaborative and organized leader with strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, as well as experience supporting teams, managing operational priorities, and working effectively with people supported, families, staff, and community partners.

Duties and Core Competencies

- Provide leadership, coaching, mentorship, and supervision to staff delivering home and community-based supports, promoting excellence in service delivery, accountability, and person-directed practices.
- Conduct employee orientations, performance reviews, regular supervision meetings, and support staff development through ongoing feedback and training opportunities.
- Support employees in developing the skills and confidence needed to deliver high-quality, individualized services that promote inclusion, independence, and community participation.

Championing Change & Innovation

- Lead continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance service delivery, operational practices, and outcomes for people supported.
- Support the implementation of new initiatives, organizational priorities, and best practices while ensuring compliance with Quality Assurance Measures, Agency policies, and legislative requirements.
- Encourage staff to embrace change, share ideas,



and contribute to innovative approaches that promote person-directed and community-based supports

Problem Solving & Decision-Making

- Provide guidance and direction in complex service, staffing, and employee relations matters while balancing the needs of people supported, employees, and the organization.
- Coordinate individualized planning, risk management, and crisis response activities to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of people receiving support.
- Apply sound judgment in addressing operational challenges, resolving conflicts, and maintaining effective communication with people supported families, and community partners

Resource Management

- Oversee staffing, scheduling, attendance management, payroll approvals, program budgets, and operational expenditures to ensure effective service delivery.
- Monitor documentation, reporting requirements, and compliance standards to maintain accountability and service quality.
- Ensure agency resources, vehicles, equipment, and staffing supports are utilized effectively to meet the evolving needs of individuals receiving services and the programs that support them

The Successful Candidate will possess:

- Minimum 4 years’ experience in Developmental Services & Post-Secondary Education in a related field;
- Minimum 4 years’ supervisory experience;
- Ensure compliance with,



and effective interpretation of, Agency Policies & Procedures;
- Knowledge of legislation, financial, medical, psychological, social, vocational, residential and advocacy services for adults with developmental disabilities;
- Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance Measures, MCCSS and OHSA; experience with non-profit agencies an asset;
- Demonstrated knowledge of Person-Directed Planning;
- Proven ability to work independently, collaboratively and within a team;
- Experience with Collective Agreements and budgeting;
- Experience with hiring, orientating and staff scheduling for 24-hour locations;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as time management and leadership skills;
- Provide on-call rotation support;
- Valid Class G Ontario Driver’s License, $2 Million third party liability insurance and use of a reliable vehicle;
- Current Emergency level First Aid Certification;
- Certificate in Non-Violence Crisis Intervention or Safe Management training an asset
