We are recruiting for 1-2 Personal Support Workers to assist a private male employer with Cerebral Palsy with all activities of daily living. The employer is very artistic and enjoys painting; He also loves music and attending music gigs.

The ideal candidate will be a solid communicator, and have a strong personality.

Location:

- Port Coquitlam (Near Sheila Barrett Park)

Shifts & Hours of Work:

- Wednesday
- 9:00AM to 11:00AM and 1:30PM to 7:30PM
- Sometimes requested to stay later
- All shifts worked with a second caregiver

Compensation:

- $22.00 per hour

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

- Personal care including sponge baths, bedpan bowel routine, urinal bed routine, and catheter care
- Assistance with stretching
- Sling and ceiling lift, 2 person assist
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping duties
- Accompany employer to appointments and errands

Required Qualifications:

- Willingness to learn
- Physically fit for 2 person transfer
- Strong command of written and verbal communication
- Willing to support the employer in the community
