About the Role

As our Controller, you'll oversee the accounting and financial reporting for a diverse group of companies operating in manufacturing, forestry, warehousing, media, and real estate. This is a hands-on leadership position where you'll be responsible for the full accounting cycle while supporting key business decisions across the organization.

What You'll Do

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead the month-end and year-end accounting processes
- Manage multi-company accounting, consolidations, and intercompany transactions
- Oversee cash flow, treasury, banking relationships, and lender reporting
- Ensure compliance with GST, PST, corporate tax, Employer Health Tax, and WorkSafeBC requirements
- Review inventory costing and financial performance across manufacturing operations
- Supervise and mentor the accounting and accounts payable team




- Work directly with ownership to support strategic business decisions

What We're Looking For

- CPA designation
- Experience with multi-entity accounting and financial reporting
- Strong knowledge of ASPE and Canadian accounting standards
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with Sage 50 or similar accounting software
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- A proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions
