Front Desk & Sales Lead – Splash and Dash Groomerie & Boutique - Shops at Don Mills

(In-Person Role – North York, ON)

At Splash and Dash, we believe pets are family. Our Toronto Groomerie & Boutique is seeking a Front Desk & Sales Lead — a warm, energetic, and detail-oriented professional who thrives at the intersection of customer service, sales, and technology. This is not a basic receptionist role: you’ll be trusted with managing our complex POS system, closing the shop, and helping build a welcoming community for pet parents and their pups.

What You’ll Do

- Serve as the welcoming face of the salon, ensuring every customer feels at home.
- Master and operate a multi-functional, complex POS system with accuracy and confidence.
- Handle scheduling, appointment recommendations, and detailed record-keeping.
- Educate customers on Splash and Dash services and membership benefits with warmth and clarity.
- Actively drive sales and upsell services in a way that feels genuine and community-focused.
- Monitor and communicate safety concerns or equipment issues to management.
- Support team communication, training, and salon quality assurance.
- Handle shop closing responsibilities — ensuring all processes, cash-out procedures, and standards are completed accurately.
- Assist with salon upkeep and light handling of dogs when needed.

What We’re Looking For

- 2+ years of customer-facing experience with a strong focus on sales and service.
- Proven ability to learn and master technology quickly, ideally with POS or booking systems.
- Detail-oriented, trustworthy, and reliable — especially when handling shop close-out duties.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to balance sales with warmth and empathy.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and willing to pitch in where needed.
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs and assist in maintaining a safe, clean salon environment.
- Passionate about building community and long-term relationships with customers.

Compensation

- Hourly Wage: $17.60 – $20/hr (based on experience)

- All new hires complete a personality questionnaire during onboarding. This is not a test and has no right or wrong answers — it simply helps us understand your work style and team fit.
- Ongoing training, team meetings, and adherence to Splash and Dash processes are required parts of the role.
