Westar Oilfield Rentals, a well-regarded Oil and Gas Service Company is looking for a Heavy Duty Apprentice Mechanic. A 1st year - 3rd year Red Seal in either Heavy Duty, Automotive, or Commercial Transport would be preferred. However, an apprentice would be considered. The successful candidate will maintain and service our rental equipment and field service trucks. Position is available immediately.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
- Trouble shoot and repair 12 V electrical malfunctions
- Trouble shoot and repair hydraulic systems
- Troubleshoot, adjust, repair or replace parts and components.
- Diagnose faults and malfunctions, work with supervisor to determine next steps
- Repair or replace mechanical units or components
- Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
- Perform scheduled maintenance service on fleet of pick up’s
- Perform scheduled maintenance on fleet of Kenworth Trucks
- Perform scheduled maintenance on fleet of 8-20 KW diesel light towers




- Perform scheduled maintenance on fleet of 36-100KW diesel generators
- Test and adjust units to specifications
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed
- Ability to work on electric, hydraulic and air brake systems
- Fluent in English
- Able to take direction and willing to learn
- Approach problems with an open mind
- Ability to work both as a team member and work alone
- Must be safe and follow our policies, procedures and SOP’s

A valid driver’s license is required.
