Our client, a manufacturing company located in the Mississauga, ON is looking for a Production Supervisor (Days, Nights, and a Floater Shift Available) to join their team.
What you will do in this role:
- Lead daily production activities to ensure manufacturing operations run safely, efficiently, and effectively.
- Provide clear direction, priorities, and production targets to team members at the start of each shift.
- Monitor production performance and ensure shift targets, quality standards, and productivity goals are achieved.
- Coordinate staffing levels and manage employee schedules to optimize production requirements while minimizing unnecessary overtime.
- Train, coach, and mentor recent and existing employees on production processes, safety procedures, food safety requirements, and company policies.
- Provide timely feedback regarding employee performance, development opportunities, and training needs to Human Resources and the Production Manager.
- Complete accurate production reports and communicate performance results, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Identify production issues and work collaboratively to implement corrective actions and process improvements.
- Partner with cross-functional departments including Quality, Food Safety, Maintenance, Sanitation, Logistics, and Human Resources to support daily operations.
- Ensure employees follow all company policies, procedures, and programs including GMPs, food safety standards, quality requirements, and health and safety practices.
- Support employee performance management activities, including coaching, recognition, and disciplinary actions in partnership with Human Resources.
- Maintain a strong safety-first culture and promote teamwork throughout the production environment.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What you will bring to the role:
- 3+ years of supervisory experience within a food manufacturing, CPG, or production environment.
- Previous experience leading production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of food safety, GMPs, quality standards, and workplace safety requirements.
- Experience with production reporting, employee training, and performance management.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot production issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Comfortable working 12-hour rotating shifts, including day and night schedules.
- Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heat and production equipment.

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
