About The Position

This is a Working Site Foreman / Excavator Operator position.

You’ll lead a two-man crew, working alongside your dedicated right-hand/skid steer operator while operating new equipment and completing a wide variety of residential excavation projects.

This is not a position where you sit in the excavator all day.

You’ll be leading projects, helping on the ground when needed, communicating with homeowners, checking grades, installing utilities, and making sure every project is completed safely and professionally.

What You’ll Be Building

Every week is different.

Projects include:

- Swimming pool excavations
- Residential foundations
- Sewer tie-ins
- New city sewer connections
- Water service installations
- Waterline repairs
- Storm drainage
- Trenching
- Site grading
- Large block retaining walls
- Lock Block installations
- MagnumStone retaining walls
- Structural backfill
- Property service upgrades
- General residential excavation
- Light civil utility work

We work primarily throughout Kelowna, West Kelowna,



Lake Country and surrounding communities.



Your Responsibilities

- Lead a two-man excavation crew
- Safely operate excavators in tight residential environments
- Plan each day’s production
- Read plans and grades
- Complete sewer tie-ins and utility installations
- Install water, sanitary and storm services
- Excavate foundations and retaining walls
- Perform grade checks and layouts
- Work alongside your skid steer operator when required
- Maintain clean, organized job sites
- Complete daily logs and documentation
- Communicate professionally with homeowners, builders and inspectors
- Deliver projects safely, efficiently and on schedule



We’re Looking For Someone Who

- Has 8–10+ years operating excavators
- Can work independently without constant supervision
- Takes pride in producing clean work
- Is calm under pressure
- Treats equipment like it’s their own
- Has strong leadership skills
- Enjoys mentoring others
- Understands grades, elevations and utility installation
- Can read plans confidently
- Has experience working around existing utilities
- Shows up every day ready to work
- Has a positive attitude
- Wants a career—not just another paycheque



Requirements

- Valid BC Driver’s Licence
- Clean Driver’s Abstract
- Must live in the Central Okanagan (Kelowna, West Kelowna, Lake Country or nearby)
- Physically capable of working on the ground when required
- Drug-free workplace
- Safety-first mindset
- Strong communication skills
