Soul Sanctuary is a church and community centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, committed to being a hub for the community we serve. As a host venue for celebrations, athletics, corporate events, and community gatherings, we are dedicated to creating a welcoming and authentic space while serving our local and broader community with care and purpose.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Facility Director, the Facility Team Member is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and hospitable setting in our facility. The Facility Team Member position is a part-time position. This role is well suited to someone with strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail who is looking for meaningful work within a small, collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

- Host the various community and ministry groups that utilize our facility
- Provide exceptional service to facility guests
- Ensure that the interior and exterior of the facility is consistently presented to a qualified standard, completing daily custodial tasks
- Complete building maintenance tasks as assigned
- Ensure security of facility and our guests
- Set-up and tear down of various spaces and events
- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Prior custodial and maintenance experience an asset
- A team player who works effectively and efficiently
- The ability to work independently and with a team
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills




- Attention to detail and takes initiative
- Ability to receive direction and implement plans of action
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
- Valid Criminal and Vulnerable Sector checks (paid for by Soul Sanctuary)
- Flexible availability including weekends, as well as late nights during large event bookings
- Reliable transportation
- Physically able to do stairs multiple times per shift, haul tables and chairs, bend and lift up to 100lbs
