Location: On-Site – Stoney Creek, ON (Travel to various work sites in Southern Ontario required)

Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Fridays 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Compensation: $31 – $36 per hour / $70,928 – $82,368 annually

Reports To: Exterior Works Manager

Position Summary

We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Exterior Works Labourer to support daily site operations. This full-time, permanent position plays a key role in preparing homes for various stages of construction and ensuring sites are safe, clean, and ready for trades.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform exterior landscaping, snow removal, demolition, site preparation, and exterior construction tasks on new residential builds and development sites
- Read and follow construction drawings, demolition scopes, and site plans as directed
- Assist with the removal of temporary structures, cutting concrete, stripping floors, and clearing debris to prepare for building
- Install exterior components such as cladding, vapor barriers, soffit/fascia, trims, and waterproofing systems
- Follow direction to ensure all work meets Ontario Building Code standards and jobsite safety requirements
- Load, unload,



and transport materials and tools to and from job sites; assist with towing trailers and equipment as needed
- Support daily task execution in line with build schedules and site readiness goals
- Help conduct site inspections and quality checks on prep and finishing work
- Keep the work area clean and hazard-free through regular jobsite cleanup and organization
- Prepare homes for interior trades by scraping/protecting floors, removing snow/straw, and assisting with floor stripping
- Operate small to mid-sized excavators, skid steers, and other equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with grading, backfilling, and prepping porches, garages, and basements for concrete pours
- Help cut driveways, install patio slabs, and coordinate stone and material placement
- Locate and raise water boxes; mark for sodding and ensure utilities are accessible
- Set up temporary heat sources for other trades during cold-weather work
- Follow instructions for waste sorting, bin use, and site recycling procedures
- Communicate any on-site concerns or material needs to supervisors
- Respond to homeowner questions or requests in a courteous and professional manner
- Carry out additional tasks as directed by the Exterior Works Manager or site supervisors

Qualifications & Skills





- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in exterior construction, demolition, or landscaping
- Must have a valid Ontario Class D, DZ, A, or AZ License
- Experience operating excavators and heavy equipment
- Previous leadership experience on construction sites
- Working at Heights Certification
- Post-secondary education in Construction Techniques or a related field an asset
- Working knowledge of Ontario Building Code as it relates to exterior finishes
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools (saws, drills, nailers, etc.)
- Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolding or ladders
