Edmonton Pain and Injury Clinic

Canada

Description:

Working as a contracted physiotherapist, the successful candidate will be an integral part of the health care team within the office. Duties would include:

- Direct client care as permitted under the physiotherapy scope of practice. Caseload is primarily in orthopedics in the adult age group, with an emphasis on motor vehicle accident cases.

- Assessment and ongoing treatment of clients.

- Promotion of the clinic and the profession.

- Preparation and processing of documentation as required for outside stakeholders.

- Supervision of therapy assistants under the provided guidelines of the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

Who we are looking for:

- Highly motivated and reliable individual who is self-initiated and versatile with the unpredictable nuances that can come up with client care.

- Understanding of the physiotherapy scope of practice, knowing what tasks can be completed and when to ask for outside consult.

- Evidence of reflective thinking and lifelong learning that enhances individual and team competency.

- Enthusiasm to educate and promote exercise. We rarely use modalities during treatment and believe that clients get the best results with active care.

Requirements:

- Bachelors/Masters/Doctorate degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program.

- Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

- Dry needling certification is an asset, but not necessary.

- New grads are welcome to apply.

Highlights of the position:

- 1:1 client care slots for all treatments: Clients get the individual attention they need to succeed within their rehab journey,

and staff will not need to worry about providing care for multiple clients during a single appointment timeslot unless comfortable to do so.

- Fair compensation strategy: We look to attract the best candidates to our team and will compensate accordingly so that you would want to stay with us for the long term.

- Flexible number of work hours: The successful candidate has a variety of scheduling options available to fit their work-life balance. You will have input on the number of hours you want to work - from 20 to 35 hours per week.

- Adaptable work days and work time: You will get full input on the days and time you want to work, so that you get to choose when to spend your free time with your loved ones.

- Established referral network: You will have clients from the first month, as we routinely have a lengthy waitlist of referrals from our loyal partner sources that are willing to wait for assessments at our reputable clinic. The transition period to have a busy caseload would be a lot quicker than most other clinics, as the existing clinic staff is not looking to expand their caseloads. You would be the primary therapist being given new referrals.

- Established small business looking to expand: The clinic is locally-owned, has been a part of the community for over 15 years and is not driven purely by profits. We focus on providing care that is client-centered that meets the client's needs. You will get to know the clients you treat, and not just see them as "just another client" to check off the list.

*ONLY CANDIDATES WHO ARE BEING CONSIDERED FOR AN INTERVIEW WILL BE CONTACTED*

Pay: Up to $200,000.00 per year

Benefits:

- Casual dress
- Flexible schedule
