Position Summary

As a VAR Instructor, you'll bring your education and experience to life in the classroom! You'll deliver engaging, high-quality instruction using a variety of teaching methods designed to match different learning styles—all in a supportive and interactive learning environment. Whether you're guiding students through small animal health, veterinary fundamentals, or hands-on demonstrations, you’ll be at the heart of their learning journey. You’ll also be responsible for daily attendance, evaluating assignments and exams, and most importantly, inspiring the next generation of tech talent.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction

- Prepare lesson plans, learning materials and assessments

- Support and guide students in both theoretical and practical learning

- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress and evaluations

- Promote a safe,



respectful and inclusive learning environment

Qualifications

- Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist Diploma or greater

- Six years of combined education and work experience in a veterinary/animal health field

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

- Strong organizational and time management abilities

- Passion for adult education and student mentorship

- Previous teaching experience an asset

- Experience with Cengage Online Learning Platforms and Brightspace an asset
