Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Concrete Formwork & Site Servicing Estimator to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates, takeoffs, budgets, tender submissions, and change pricing for concrete formwork and site servicing projects. This role is suitable for someone who understands construction drawings, civil/structural scopes, concrete quantities, labour productivity, equipment, materials, subcontractor pricing.

Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs from architectural, structural, civil, and servicing drawings.
- Estimate concrete formwork scopes, including footings, foundation walls, columns, beams, slabs, stairs, curbs, retaining walls, suspended slabs, and related reinforcing/concrete items.
- Estimate site servicing scopes, including excavation, backfill, granulars, storm, sanitary, watermain, catch basins, manholes, trenching, road cuts, restoration, grading, and related civil work.
- Review drawings, specifications, addenda, geotechnical reports, and tender documents.
- Prepare labour, material, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead pricing.
- Request and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
- Prepare tender packages, bid forms, inclusions, exclusions, clarifications, and scope summaries.
- Identify risks, missing information, scope gaps, constructability issues, and value-engineering opportunities.
- Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, suppliers, subcontractors, engineers,



consultants, and clients.
- Attend site visits, tender meetings, and project handoff meetings when required.
- Prepare change order pricing, budgets, cost breakdowns, and project estimate updates.
- Maintain estimating files, supplier lists, historical pricing, and project cost data.

Qualifications

- Minimum [3–5] years of estimating experience in concrete formwork, site servicing, civil construction, or a related construction trade.
- Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, civil, and site servicing drawings.
- Strong knowledge of concrete, formwork systems, excavation, backfill, underground servicing, grading, and restoration work.
- Experience preparing takeoffs and estimates for projects in the GTA construction market is an asset.
- Solid understanding of labour productivity, equipment requirements, material pricing, subcontractor coordination, and construction sequencing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with estimating/takeoff software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore, HeavyBid, Bid2Win, AutoCAD, or similar software is an asset.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under tender deadlines and manage multiple estimates at the same time.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada long term.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $65,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
