Production Supervisor – Job Description

As a Production Supervisor, you will play a critical role in overseeing shift operations, ensuring efficient truck loading, and managing a small crew.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

- Supervise and oversee assigned shift operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Ensure trucks are loaded correctly, securely, and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Monitor production processes and maintain high operational standards.
- Be available and willing to work at both Bramalea and Tranmere locations, which are just 4 minutes apart.
- Reliable transportation is required to commute between locations as needed.
- Develop and adjust daily production schedules to meet customer deadlines while maximizing resource utilization.

Team Leadership:

- Manage a small crew of crane operators and machine operators, providing coaching guidance and direction
- Assign tasks and ensure workflow efficiency during the shift.
- Promote a positive work environment and team collaboration.

Equipment & Safety Compliance:

- Ensure compliance with all workplace health and safety regulations.
- Be first aid certified or willing to obtain certification.
- Maintain a safe work environment and address any safety concerns promptly.

Logistics & Trucking Support:

- Oversee and coordinate the loading of trucks and trailers for timely deliveries.
- Be comfortable moving trucks and trailers when required.
- Ensure accuracy in securing and balancing loads to prevent transportation hazards.

Administrative & Reporting Duties:

- Prepare and complete necessary shipping paperwork and operational reports.
- Maintain accurate records of shift activities,



personnel performance, and production metrics.
- Communicate with management regarding shift progress and any challenges.

Qualifications:

Experience & Skills:

- Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience in an industrial setting.
- Experience with truck loading and logistics is an asset.
- Background in steel or trucking operations is an asset.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

Compensation & Benefits:

- Salary: $70,000 - $75,000 per year plus profit-sharing program.

Shift Assignment & Flexibility:

The candidate must be flexible to cover other shifts when required due to business needs, such as absences or operational demands. Shift assignments may be adjusted based on business requirements.

- Morning Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- Afternoon Shift: 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM
- Midnight Shift: 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM
- Full-time position.
