The Job:

The Pharmacy Assistant will support the pharmacist in daily operations, including preparing prescriptions, managing inventory, and assisting patients at the counter. This role requires accuracy, strong organizational skills, and a customer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accurately prepare, count, label, and package prescription medications.
- Enter and process prescriptions using pharmacy software.
- Assist patients with prescription pick-up and provide excellent customer service.
- Handle phone calls, patient inquiries, and coordinate with healthcare providers as needed.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and restocking.
- Process insurance claims and payments at the cash register.
- Ensure the pharmacy work area is clean, protected,



and compliant with regulations.
- Support the pharmacist with administrative and operational tasks.

Qualifications:

- Previous pharmacy assistant experience is preferred.
- Diploma from a Pharmacy Assistant credited course nice to have.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional, dependable, and committed to patient confidentiality.
