Shadow Mountain Golf Course Greenskeeper – Seasonal

Location: Cranbrook, BC
Season: April to Early October (flexible start and end dates)

We're looking for motivated, reliable, and hardworking individuals to join our Golf Course Maintenance Team. Whether you're interested in a career in turf management or simply enjoy working outdoors, this is a great chance to help maintain one of British Columbia's premier golf courses.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Agronomy and/or Superintendent, Greenskeepers are responsible for the daily maintenance and presentation of the golf course and practice facilities. Successful candidates take pride in their work, enjoy working outdoors, and appreciate the importance of detail in creating outstanding playing conditions.

Responsibilities

- Maintain the playability and appearance of the golf course and practice facilities.
- Mow and maintain greens, tees, fairways, rough, and naturalized areas.
- Rake and maintain bunkers and other hazards.
- Operate a variety of turf equipment, including riding mowers and utility vehicles.
- Use handheld equipment such as string trimmers, backpack blowers, push mowers,



and fly mowers.
- Assist with daily course setup and other maintenance projects as required.
- Work safely while following all department procedures and equipment guidelines.

Qualifications

- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Physically able to perform manual labour and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
- Previous golf course or landscaping experience is an asset but not required—training will be provided.
