Role Overview:

The Mechanical Designer will be responsible for designing and detailing power transmission products and rotating equipment packages, ensuring they meet our critical industry’s high standards of performance, safety, and manufacturability. This position works closely with engineers, project managers, and production teams to develop assemblies, prototypes, and production‑ready documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, arrangement, packaging of rotating equipment and related systems
- Detailed design of machined components, fabricated structures, fluid systems
- Create controlled engineering documentation and drawings to support project execution.
- Create detailed project Bill of Materials
- Support project teams (Project Manager, Designers, and Operations) to complete required submittals and confirm scope/design details meet all project requirements
- Maintain & update project-drawing libraries, within area of responsibility
- Provide in-house support for Operations & Field Service staff during appropriate times over the course of a project schedule

Work Location & Work Arrangement:

This role will initially be based at our engineering offices in Cumberland BC, but after an initial training period (e.g. 6 months) there may be opportunities to work from the Surrey office for appropriate individuals.

Travel Requirements:





- Occasional travel to sister companies within Canada, project sites and to the Surrey, BC location may be required

Qualifications & Experience:

- Mechanical Engineering Degree or Technology Diploma from an accredited North American University or College
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant design experience in a manufacturing setting
- Experienced in designing power transmission products including: clutches, gears, housings, fabricated structures, lubrication and hydraulic systems
- Experience in an ISO 9001 setting
- A well-organized, multi-tasking ability with robust commitment to meet deliverable is required
- Familiarity with CREO or other solid modeling software
- Familiarity with Windchill or other PLM packages

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
