OCW Metal Works Inc. is looking for experienced Welder/Fitters to join our small, but growing team. Located in the Sturgeon Falls, Ontario area - OCW is focused on providing quality welding work all over Northern Ontario.

The Welder/Fabricator is responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal components using a variety of welding techniques. This role requires strong technical skills. attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. The Welder ensures all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Responsibilities Include (Not Limited To):

- Read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components and structures.
- Set-up requirements may include part or product evaluations, jig or fixture design & fabrication
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality standards are met.
- Operate welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Skills:

- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Base metal identification
- Determination of optimal tooling,



selection of manual or semi automatic welding. selection of optimal welding machine amp and welding procedures
- Proper use of pre-heat and post-heat
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

- Highschool Diploma
- CWB Welding Tickets/Certifications
- Valid driver's license.
- Minimum 3 years of welding experience.
- Preference given to candidates with recognized training in welding.
- Experience in a metal fabrication shop is an asset.

Candidates may be required to perform a welding test during the interview process.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
