Summary

We are seeking a Body Shop Manager to join our team at PBX Truck Service in Manitoba. As a vital part of our operation, you manage and organize all body shop repairs, are responsible for scheduling and leading a team of body shop technicians who contribute to maintaining, repairing, fabricating, and painting structural components of commercial trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

- Supervising daily workflow, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring timely repairs.
- Hiring, training, mentoring, and evaluating technicians and support staff to boost productivity.
- Communicating repair status, negotiating with insurance adjusters, and resolving customer complaints.
- Developing budgets, controlling costs, setting, and achieving departmental profit objectives.
- Ensuring adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.




- Assist in emergency repairs to minimize downtime for clients.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Reviewing repair estimates, ensuring compliance with OEM procedures, and verifying structural/refinishing quality
- Support the team with heavy lifting tasks as needed.

Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years' managerial experience in the automotive or heavy duty industry
- Proven experience in automotive or truck repair
- Strong mechanical knowledge and proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety standards related to heavy vehicle repair.
