Position Overview:

WPP Construction Ltd. is seeking a Journeyman Carpenter with hands-on experience in wood frame multifamily residential projects. You’ll work on all aspects of construction including framing, sheathing, installation, and finishing across multiple job sites. This is a long-term opportunity with potential for advancement into leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform rough and finish carpentry on wood-frame multifamily residential buildings
- Accurately read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints
- Frame walls, install windows, doors, trim, stairs, and hardware
- Site Carpentry, including helping out with anything that is needed on a large multi family site.
- QA/QC, including painting, caulking, flooring, tile, etc.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship and job site cleanliness




- Follow WorkSafeBC safety guidelines and site-specific protocols
- Coordinate with site supervisors and other trades to meet project deadlines

Requirements:

- Red Seal Certification or Journeyman Carpenter designation in BC (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of carpentry experience in residential or multifamily construction
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Own hand tools and standard PPE (steel-toe boots, hard hat, high-vis vest, etc.)
- Physically fit and able to work at heights and in various weather conditions
- Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills

Assets (Preferred but Not Required):

- WHMIS 2015 and Fall Protection certificates
- Understanding and use of lazer level.
- Occupational First Aid Level 2
- Experience with rainscreen systems and building envelope detailing
- Familiarity with BC Building Code and multifamily project workflows
