Top Hat Home Comfort Services, Ottawa’s largest home service company is currently looking for a chimney sweep helper.

Job Description:

As a chimney sweep helper for Top Hat’s chimney department you will be primarily responsible for assisting the lead chimney sweep in cleaning and inspecting all types of wood-burning fireplaces, woodstoves and chimneys in homes throughout the Ottawa valley. This involves setting up ladder(s) and performing chimney cleaning tasks while on the roof etc.

Training will be provided. WETT Certification is optional.

Represent Top Hat in a qualified, courteous and friendly manner on each and every cleaning.

Adhere to all safety rules and procedures.

Perform other duties as required.

Required Skills:

Must have at least a Class G Driver’s License.





Must have current Working at Heights Training

Must be physically capable of performing all work required of this position.

Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both in written and verbal communications.

Must have a customer satisfaction drive.

Maintain company vehicle and work attire to a clean and safe standard.
