Key Accountabilities

The Electrical Test Technician is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of products leaving the REV manufacturing facility. This role involves performing and documenting electrical tests on REV products, ensuring they meet internal quality standards as well as industry and customer requirements. Additionally, the Electrical Quality Control Technician verifies that product designs are functional and align with customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and verify detailed design drawings including: wiring schematics, single lines, three lines, system architecture, wiring diagrams and general arrangement drawings.
- Create redline drawings using PDF Editor and/or standardized red line procedures.
- Verifying applicable standards and codes are met after assembly and fabrication. (CSA 22.1, 22.2, NETA, C37.20, UL 891, IEEE, and others as needed).
- Responsible for REV relevant certification compliance and labeling.
- Responsible for performing testing on electrical products using various test equipment and managing test records.
- Responsible for customer witness testing and checkout.
- Responsible for providing electrical troubleshooting of equipment in manufacturing shop and customer support.
- Responsible for maintaining testing equipment and calibrations.
- Responsible for collaborating and directing Junior Staff for Project Completion.
- Responsible for interfacing directly with project managers, and clients, Special Inspectors.
- Responsible for maintaining/creating procedures and processes.
- Creating test reports, Ductor, Merger, Hipot,



and other testing related documentation for customer or internal needs.
- Perform testing on electrical products using various test equipment.
- Testing products include but limited to switchgear, LV/MV circuit breakers, relays, transformers, panel boards, cables, battery systems.
- Use of hand tools (screwdrivers, sockets, side cutters, wiring tools, Multimeter etc.) on a day-to-day basis.
- Other duties and tasks as assigned by your manager to ensure REV’s goals and objectives are met.
- Performs all duties so as to meet the responsibilities listed in REV’s Safety and Human Resources Policy Manual.
- Performs duties according to REV’s quality system procedures and work instructions.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Engineering (Considered an asset).
- Engineering Technologist (CET) designation considered an asset.
- Electrician (Journeyman) certification (Considered an asset).
- Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in electrical testing is required.
- Proficiency in wiring schematics, single-line and three-line diagrams, BOM development, system architecture, and wiring diagram.
- PSE with NETA Level certification, or specialization in commissioning/quality or relay testing is considered a very strong candidate.
- Ability to work effectively with customers through education, training, service, or technical support.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills,



with the ability to clearly convey technical information to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. (Strong English Language proficiency required).
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a team player across cross‑functional teams, customers, and stakeholders.
- Experience or demonstrated capability in coaching, mentoring, and knowledge sharing, with a high level of initiative, accountability, and a positive attitude when working with others.
- Protection relay programming and design (Considered an asset).
- PLC programming and design (Considered an asset).
- Experience in designs for manufacturing and assemblies (Considered an asset).
- Experience with testing equipment, wiring and mechanical assemblies and related tasks
