Pinnacle Pursuits is seeking energetic, safety-focused, and enthusiastic Outdoor Adventure Instructors / Ropes Course & Rock-Climbing Belayers to join our incredible summer adventure team.
This is much more than a climbing job.
You'll play a key role in creating unforgettable experiences for children, youth, schools, families, and community groups through high-quality outdoor adventure programming that builds confidence, resilience, teamwork, leadership, and lifelong memories.

What You'll Do
As part of our Adventure Team, you will:
- Safely supervise and belay participants on rock climbing walls, high ropes courses and climbing activities
- Conduct equipment inspections and ensure all safety standards are maintained
- Lead engaging activity briefings and safety orientations
- Facilitate low ropes initiatives and experiential team-building activities
- Encourage participants while creating a fun, positive and inclusive learning environment
- Teach outdoor skills while adapting programs for different ages and abilities
- Support camp programming, special events and adventure activities
- Assist with equipment setup, maintenance and storage
- Work collaboratively with fellow instructors to deliver exceptional guest experiences
- Serve as a positive mentor and role model for youth

Preferred Qualifications
We're excited to hear from applicants with experience in one or more of the following:
- Rock climbing and belaying
- High ropes course facilitation
- Challenge course instruction
- Low ropes facilitation
- Team-building and experiential education
- Outdoor leadership
- Summer camp programming
- Canoeing or kayaking instruction
- Orienteering and navigation
- Archery
- Outdoor survival and campcraft
- Wilderness or outdoor recreation
- Youth leadership
- Lifeguarding
Additional qualifications include:
- Current First Aid & CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Lifeguarding (NLS)
- Previous experience working with children, youth or groups
- Excellent risk-management awareness
- Ability to lift and move outdoor equipment
- Criminal Record Check (required)
Climbing certifications (ACCT, CUI, AAC, AMGA, or equivalent) are considered a strong asset but are not required for all applicants.
