Café Cook – Line Cook

About the Position

Livingstone Golf Course is looking to fill full and part time mature seasonal positions for various departments and roles. We are located in the beautiful Rocky Mountain Foothills, Sibbald Creek Trail just 20 km west of Calgary city limits on the Trans Canada Highway. We are a 9-hole golf course with mountain views and surrounded with all the beauty the foothills have to offer. Season is May 1 to mid-October (weather permitting).

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Café Cook to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate is passionate about preparing high‑quality food, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and effective kitchen. Experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right individual.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items for breakfast, lunch, and café service
- Ensure consistency, quality, and proper presentation of all dishes
- Complete daily food preparation and restocking of stations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas




- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with inventory rotation, labelling, and storage
- Support the Café Chef with specials, catering orders, and seasonal menus
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance issues when necessary

Qualifications

- Previous cooking experience preferred (café, restaurant, or catering)
- Strong knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods
- Food Safety Certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain)
